Spaces by Jen

A portfolio-led website for an interior designer, built so the work itself does the selling and every page ends in a clear route to a consultation.

The challenge

Interior design is bought on taste before it is bought on credentials. A prospective client is asking one question — do I like what this person makes — and no amount of service copy answers it. The work has to carry the argument.

The difficulty is that a pure gallery converts badly. Visitors admire the images, form an opinion, and leave without ever understanding how the process works or what happens if they get in touch.

What I built

The site leads with positioning rather than a menu: "Creating Spaces that Feel Like Home" sets the emotional register before a single service is named. Immediately beneath it, a section built around the idea that spaces speak for themselves gives the portfolio the prominence it needs, with photography sized large enough to actually be judged.

A collaborative approach section then explains the working process, which is the part that converts a browser into an enquiry — it answers what it is like to work with her, not just what she produces. Client testimonials follow, supplying third-party proof at the point where a visitor is weighing the decision.

Every section resolves into the same closing call to action, so a visitor who is convinced at any scroll depth has an immediate route forward rather than having to hunt for contact details.

Outcome

The site presents the portfolio as the primary argument while still explaining the process and supplying social proof, with a single consistent conversion path running through the page.
